Open Call | David Bowie Exhibition at The Green Gallery

The Green Gallery are organising an exhibition of visual art work depicting Rock Idol David Bowie. They are seeking paintings sculptures and any other original works of art regarding this incredible artist.

The first anniversary of David Bowie’s passing in on January 10th 2017 and The Green Gallery will commemorate/celebrate the great man with an exhibition.

The exhibition will run from January 04th to 31st 2017 and delivery of artwork is prior and up to 6pm on January 03rd.

The venue is a large multi roomed brightly lit space on the top floor of the St. Stephens Green Centre. Dublin 2. All walls are painted in satin black to give a strong rock music visual effect. David Bowie’s music will be played constantly through the exhibition.

Artists are invited to submit an image of their artwork by email to Please state size in cm. If you wish for the piece to be offered for sale please state the required retail price. The gallery works on a commission basis of 50%. There is no charge for exhibiting. The exhibition will be volunteer run. We will provide assistance with hanging artworks.

The Green Gallery has been in Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre for the past 21 years, show casing many renowned artists as well as emerging talent. The policy of The Green Gallery is to make available a broad range of contemporary art from both Irish and International artists. The Green Gallery is known for its variety in style, price range and excellence of quality. Recent exhibitions at this venue include ‘Thin Lizzy’, a very successful 1916 exhibition and most recently, ‘Artists in Residence’. Some future exhibitions are in the planning stage.
