Open Call | Féile an Phobail 2017, Belfast

Artists are invited to submit expressions of interest for consideration in our August Féile, Irelands Biggest Community Arts Festival and Summer School. This year’s August Féile will run from Thursday 3rd– Sunday 13th August.

The theme of this year’s Féile will be Rights and Revelry, regarding, but not limited to, cultural rights, Acht na Gaeilge, LGBT, newcomer communities, etc.

Féile will be hosting exhibitions in a number of key venues in the City during August, and would be delighted if you would consider submitting an exhibition for this year’s August Féile. Submissions of non-themed exhibitions are also welcome.

Artists will be given a space to exhibit but there is no financial support available. Insurance and transportation of work are the responsibility of the artist. No commission charged on sale of work.

Artists must be available to instal works in the week leading up to the exhibition and on the day after the exhibition closes, to dismantle and collect their work.

Expressions of interest to include:

• Description of content/ theme of exhibition
• Short artist biography with contact details including telephone number
• 6 images
• Size and dimensions of exhibition
