Open Call for Curator | Curating Collection with School Project, South Tipperary Arts Centre

Application deadline: Friday 14 December at 4pm.

South Tipperary Arts Centre and Tipperary Arts Office are planning a project with a local secondary school art class. They wish to engage a curator to introduce the class to principles of curating in early 2019, and to assist the class in curating an exhibition in April 2019 based on the Arts Council of Ireland Collection (from work in storage, available to view digitally). The Arts Council began collecting in 1962 as a way of directly supporting artists. They continue to collect today, while loaning their 1,086 works to public spaces such as galleries, libraries, schools and hospitals.

The resulting exhibition at South Tipperary Arts Centre will take place in April 2019.

Curators are invited to submit a proposal for the project including:
• Outline of approach (including timeframe, budget and curators fee)
• Covering letter that outlines your suitability for the project (no more than one side of A4)
• CV
