Open Call for Moving Image Work | Interference Festival 2016

Interference Foundation – the main organiser of the Interference Festival of Visual Communication Forms in Gdańsk – is pleased to open the competition “Freedom of Form”, inviting entries of visual works in one of four main competition categories:

1. Found Footage [max 5 min]
2. Music Video [max 10 min]
3. Kreatywna Forma Reklamowa [max 5 min]
4. Experimental Short Visual Form [max 8 min]

Interference Festival is an international overview and contest of visual communication forms accompanied by a rich program – concerts, video projections, installations, meetings, workshops, Masterclass lectures and VJ Battle. The festival is an interdisciplinary, international project aimed at selecting leading creators of short visual forms, such as: visuals, music videos, teasers, creative advertising forms, jingles and video art, experiments on the border of art. The Festival is held in Gdańsk on 07-08 October 2016, and the official announcement of the winners will take place during the Prize-Giving Ceremony on 08 October 2016.

This international competition constitutes a key part of the Festival. Its aim is to recognise outstanding short visual productions, both commercial and non-commercial.

The following prizes will be awarded in the competition:
Grand Prix 2500 zł (approx. €570) in categories:
– Found Footage
– Video Clip
– Creative Advertising Piece
– Experimental Short Visual Piece

Additional financial prizes:
– Audience Prize 2000zł
The remaining prizes will be in kind.
The financial prizes are sponsored by the City of Gdańsk.

There is no submission fee. In order for the submission to be accepted, the entry form must be correctly filled in and signed (with scanned signature) which includes the acceptance of the Competition Terms and Conditions, containing details of the competition requirements and procedures.
