Open Call for Video Work | Homeland 2017, Damer House Gallery

Damer House Gallery is currently organising ‘Homeland 2017’, a project now in its fourth year. They are delighted to invite you to participate in this show case of contemporary video art. The focus is to show a selection of international and national film and video artworks for the duration of 2 weeks in Damer House Gallery, mid June 2017.

For Homeland 2017 Damer House Gallery are seeking works that respond to:
‘Blackbird singing in the dead of night’
Paul McCartney

Released: June 1968
‘McCartney has stated that the lyrics of the song were inspired by the unfortunate state of race relations in the United States in the 1960s’.

Homeland 2017 will bring exciting new work to the midland and initiate conversations between artists and audiences, local community and schools.

Video works must be of a high standard and not longer then 7-9 minutes.
