Open Call | Future Forecast Curator, Project Arts Centre

Closing date for applications: Monday 1 July, 5pm.

Project Arts Centre is powered by creative ideas, critical thinking and debate. Artists and audiences are often first to forecast the future – for good and for ill. As we look to our future in an uncertain world, which is leaning towards populism, tokenism, and right wing conservative politics, Project want to engage in a conversation about contemporary Ireland and the arts. They want to peel back the skin to see how artists are faring and examine the ways in which our arts community can reflect, mediate, challenge and shape our collective fate.

Where does our future lie?

As part of our 2019/20 season, Project will launch a programme of discursive events aimed at interrogating our current cultural climate and asking the question – what’s in our future?

Do you have new and novel ways to engage our artists and audiences with ideas about the future?

Project are looking for a curator to programme a series of talks and events aimed at asking questions and provoking debate. Future Forecast will be a series of four events that will look to the cultural landscape of the future. Beginning in 2019, the programme will run alongside and connect to the Project performance and visual art programmes.

Where do you fit in?

Send us a one page proposal about you, why you’d like to with Project, and how you would approach this programme.

The selected candidate will receive a curator’s fee of €2,000 with an additional budget of €2,000 provided to cover all four events in the Future Forecast programme.

Who can apply?
Anyone. There are no restrictions on age, education level, or any other factor. Applications from individuals or groups are welcome.
