Open Call | Residency 2019/20 at Stiwdio Maelor, Wales (Submission Fee)

Applications are now open for the annual completion where Stiwdio Maelor give artists at various stages of their career an opportunity to win a two week residency as well as vouchers provided by local businesses at Stiwdio Maelor, Wales.
The theme this year is ‘THE ELEMENTS OF PRIMARY COLOUR’ and will be judged by Katy Helman, an abstract and experimental painter from the U.S. Stiwdio Maelor are keeping it open to all mediums.
Please note: There is a charge of £10 per artwork submitted (unlimited entries). The residency includes accommodation and studio only, travel is not covered.
Studio Maelor was founded in 2014 by visual artist Veronica Calarco and is located at the bottom of Snowdonia National Park, Wales. The residency program seeks to operate on a sustainable, ecological not-for profit basis. Residencies at Maelor aim to provide artists the experience to develop their own practice whilst meeting other diverse individuals/groups at various stages of their careers. In 2015, Stiwdio Maelor started an annual competition, the aim of which is to enable an artist to win an opportunity to complete a residency at Maelor.
