Open Call | Silk Road Photo Exhibition 2017

The Silk Road Photo Exhibition features the work of Irish and Irish based photographers who travelled and photo-documented along the Silk Road countries in our modern times. The exhibition strongly believes in contributing to the art of photography in Ireland and a space that allows for showcasing work and conversation between professionals, amateurs, students and photography enthusiasts.

Artists are invited to submit 2 entries to

Theme: Portraits / People Photographs / Landscapes from the Silk Road land and maritime routes ex. of countries: China, Central Asia, Tibet, India, Iran, Cambodia, Thailand, Eastern shores of the Mediterranean.

Image Guidelines:
Size: Max 100dpi, 1000px on the long side
Save as .jpg
Naming your images: Full name, title of piece, location (where it was captured), number (1,2)
Please include in your email a link to your work (website or other)

The exhibition will run from 16 March to 2 April

Please note, if accepted you will be contacted by email and a fee of €30 will apply. This fee this is to help with promotional prints, beverage for the opening night, costs related to the exhibition website (design, hosting…). Photographers will be permanently included on the website as previous/current exhibitors. No insurance or installation costs to be covered by the artists. No commission on the sale of work.
