Open Call | ‘…the lives we live’ Lending Opportunity, Grangegorman Public Art Project

pathway2Deadline for applications: Wednesday 23 November, 12 noon.

‘…the lives we live’ 1: Grangegorman Public Art was launched on Friday 18th September 2015 and runs until December 2017. It is the realisation of the Grangegorman Arts Strategy (2012) devised to utilise Per Cent for Art and other funds in the context of the redevelopment of Grangegorman. ‘… the lives we live’  runs under six ‘pathways’, each with different aims. These are designed to facilitate the realisation of a wide range of ideas that will add to the distinctiveness of the area, whether to do with its past history or with its emerging and promised future. The governing aim is for the highest standards of art and engagement.

As part of ‘…the lives we live’ Grangegorman’s public art programme, Pathway 6 explores lending and acquisitions policies. In response to the next building project to be completed on the Grangegorman site, this pathway is offering an opportunity for artists to lend artworks to this building, the HSE Primary Care Centre. This new facility is due to open in spring 2017.  Go to www.ggda.ie/pubic-art to register your interest and receive the Brief.

The total Lending Fund available for artist fees amounts to €10,000 which will be distributed through the projects curatorial panel.

Please note that anyone interested in making a submission to either opportunity must first register interest with the Grangegorman public art programme by filling in a Registration of Interest form here and returning it to public.art@ggda.ie
Further information and all submission requirements for these exciting opportunities can only be issued upon receiving the registration form.
