Deadline for applications: 21 April, 5pm.
126 Artist-Run Gallery is delighted to announce an open call for three month-long paid residencies at 126. The resident will receive a free studio along with support and advice from the 126 team should they require it. Use of the 126 equipment is also available. Particular attention will be given to those looking at ideas around 126’s current project theme “Unset in Stone”. Conceived in light of recent activities surrounding the destruction of National Monuments overseas. These events became ingrained in a collective unconscious, shocking society and provoking much-heated debate. 126 are inviting proposals which confront the idea that an art object can be considered a monument of sorts: a symbol of the time in which it was made: a representation of society or societal concerns, Materialism also comes into play here, as the longevity of an object in both meaning and physicality, can disintegrate change or produce new meaning.
The residency has a €300 artist fee, €250 accommodation contribution and €50 Travel.
Eligibility: Open for artists/researchers at all levels. Submissions are open to all members of 126 Artist-Run Gallery membership scheme. There is no application fee. Visit 126gallery.com to join up today and avail of this and several upcoming opportunities in 2019/20.

Submissions: Send a full C.V. no longer than 3 pages, images of previous/current work and a plan of action for the Residency in one PDF to email@example.com.
