Open Call | Visual Artist Residencies at Kilnagleary Studios, Co. Cork

Closing date for application: 30 June.

Kilnagleary studios is seeking proposals for two four week residencies from artists living or working within Cork County. Commencing in September and October 2019, these residencies provide emerging or established artists working in the field of contemporary visual arts the space and time for research towards the development of their work .

Artists may apply citing projects in all phases – from new work to developing existing work. They offer technical support, a free studio spaces to fit various needs, 24hr access and a large array of tools are available to use if needed.

Funded by Cork County Council Arts Office, a budget for materials only will be provided in retrospect once the residency has been completed. Amount to be assigned and discussed according to individual needs up to a maximum of 800 euros.

Facilities can accommodate small scale to large scale proposals from sculpture, performance, woodwork, metalwork, ceramics and other.

Artist expectations: Exhibition/Lecture/Performance and/or Community Workshop at the end of the month-long residency.

Within walking distance from Carrigaline Town, easily accessible from Cork City by bus (220 route), and with a view of the Owenabue River, it’s a must to visit and fabulous space to get creative.
