Plein Air Painting in Dublin’s Park’s with the National Gallery

Join us for a facilitated plein air painting session for adults in Dublin’s public parks and gardens.

During the summer months, Nathaniel Hone the Younger (1831-1917) would leave his studio to enjoy the sensation of painting outdoors. To celebrate our exhibition ‘Nathaniel Hone: Travels of a Landscape Artist’, now on display in Room 31, we have organised a series of plein air sessions over the summer months.

The next session will take place on Sunday 9 June in St Stephens Green Park. The group will meet first in our Millennium Wing Studio before heading to the park for a painting session, weather permitting.

This is the second session of four. Further sessions, in different central Dublin parks, will take place during the summer.
