Sundays: 9, 23, 30, April, 2017, 10am to 1pm | Cost: €65 per class
Trinity Arts Workshop, 191 Pearse Street, Dublin
The course is run by Daniel Lipstein who is a professional printmaker, he holds a Master’s Degree in Fine Art from the print faculty of NCAD.
The course is designed to facilitated participants in the skills and traditions of printmaking. The non-chemical part of the course focuses on Monoprints, Dry-point, Carborundum, Chine Cole and Multi-plates registration, in the chemical stage the course focuses on soft and hard ground etching, sugar lift and aquatint. Each stage aims to facilitate the participants in creating finished artworks. Each one of the disciplines is suitable for the creation of accomplished prints, using that discipline alone, though in the same time each skill supports the other, and combined together, we can create intriguing and very attractive fine art prints.
One can join the classes at any stage and work with any printmaking skill he or she choses in his or her own natural pace, each person will be treated individually while motivated by the design of the course.
