Whitemountain & District Community Association invites artists and members of the community to an open public meeting on Monday, 21st March, when they will launch a Sculpture Park project.

This project would take existing publically owned land of approximate 2 acres in size, within the Whitemountain Area (Co.Antrim, 3 miles North of Lisburn) and add to that land a range of sculptures to create a Sculpture Park.

The particular location, the exact details of which will be announced at the meeting, is such that this project could be seen by many as unique within Ireland and possibly even within Europe, thus, creating potential for the park to be a tourism attraction in addition to being a showcase for sculptors in Northern Ireland.

The 21 March briefing will be at Bridge Community Centre, Railway St, Lisburn to enable sculptors and supporters of the arts to understand more about the project and give them the opportunity to advise and offer comments.  A detailed brief will be given to interested sculptors that attend.

It is anticipated that from scoping of the project through to completion could take over a year, funding permitting.

Sculptors or their support services interested in attending should e mail in the first instance to
