Sharon Kelly Awarded The Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant
Visual artist Sharon Kelly has recently been awarded The Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant which will support the creation of new work / projects. Kelly’s practice which explores ideas around resilience, focusing on the mind-body synergy incorporates drawing, video, installation and sculpture. She is currently working with female boxers from Corinthians Boxing Club, north Dublin, as part of Dublin City Council Culture Company Sport & Arts Residency. In 2020 Kelly was awarded the Arts Council of Northern Ireland Fellowship at the British School at Rome. In March this year a retrospective exhibition of her work will open at the FE McWilliam Gallery and Museum, curated by Dr Riann Coulter. Kelly is based in QSS Artists Studios in Belfast.
