The Read That Image team is pleased to announce the return of Stitching Sessions. In true Christmas spirit these sessions will have a particularly festive feel with a choice of themed cover stocks, papers and threads, as well as Christmas tunes and treats a-plenty.

During these workshops participants will be introduced to the craft of bookbinding and learn about the different papers, materials and tools needed to create their own hand-bound books. Members of the RTI team will guide participants step-by-step through two bookbinding techniques: the Singer-stitch and the Japanese-stab Bind.

Workshop participants will leave with their own handmade notebooks and the knowledge and understanding of how to apply these binding techniques to their own book projects. The techniques taught can be used to create artist books and zines, photobook dummies and maquettes, and journals and notebooks – the perfect festive stocking filler. Suitable for beginners, from artists to zinesters.

*NEW* Bookbinding Guides
As a Christmas gift, workshop participants will take home one of our two new Bookbinding Guides. These Japanese and Singer Bookbinding Guides come with illustrated step-by-step stitching instructions, perfect for practicing your newly learnt stitching techniques at home.
