Cork Printmakers is a print studio providing artists a creative and well-equipped environment in which to work, and offering audiences an engaging setting in which to understand and enjoy art.
Courses are available year-round in a range of media, involving traditional, new and alternative processes. Some take place once a week for six consecutive weeks (mornings or evenings); others are week-end intensives. All are suitable for both beginners and experienced practitioners who wish to refresh and/or expand their skills.
The summer 2019 programme includes Stone & Metal Plate Lithography; Screen-printing; Etching; Photo Etching; Relief Printing: Linocut and Lino Etching; Alternative Lithography; Papermaking and Casting; Walking & Printing Tour of Cork; Exploring Family Albums through Printing.
Tutors are members of Cork Printmakers and guest artists with experience in both art making and teaching. Participants should bring source imagery (photographs, drawings) and wear old clothes and/or bring an apron.
All courses cost €300; this includes tuition and materials. For bookings email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0214322422. Payment in full via bank transfer is due at least two weeks prior to the beginning of your course.
Cork Printmakers reserves the right to cancel any course with insufficient enrolment, and when this occurs any and all prepaid fees will be refunded. Cork Printmakers does not refund fees paid by participants who subsequently cancel their place in a course.
