The purpose of the scheme is to support ambitious, innovative and creative, high quality initiatives that specifically aim to enhance and extend the public’s experience of architecture. The Engaging with Architecture Scheme also seeks to build an expert network of architects, curators, arts programmers, festivals and arts centres working in this area. Please note that successful applicants may be required to participate in an Arts Council research projects seeking to gather data on the public’s engagement with architecture. There are two strands to the scheme. Funding is available under strand 1 to support the research and development of a project and, under strand 2, for the realisation of a project.
The scheme is open to individuals, local authorities and organisations (including organisations that are in receipt of funding under the Arts Council’s three main grant programmes – Regularly Funded Organisations; Annual Funding; Annual Programming Grant).
