Relief Printmaking is a technique that uses the texture and surfaces of materials to create beautifully detailed artwork. The workshop is aimed at anyone who would like to try lino-cutting for the first time or wishes to re-engage with it as it is such an accessible print-making process. We will cover image design, good working practice, transfer of drawing to blocks, mixing inks, roller application, registration and printing.
It is important to bring source material, (photos, drawing, books photocopies etc..) to help create your two colour print, your own drawing supplies, an apron and a bundle of enthusiasm. Cutting tools, paper and ink will be provided.
