In this 3-day workshop participants will investigating the aesthetics’ of ceramic hand-building techniques and learn to construct architectural with clay. In this workshop the main focus with be learning to join clay and build up a geometric and liner language. Participants with have the opportunity to experiment hands on with different clay, coloured slips and surface textures. While also learning ways to build objects with there surface qualities and problem solve throughout for further investigation. Individual’s research into surfaces is welcome for this exciting 3-day workshop. Open to cross-disaplinary thinking, makers and artist.
Students are promoted to think through making and self-assess to achieve greater results. Students will have support throughout.
Experience in ceramics is not necessary, but the ability to problem solve with an individual lead agenda will help achieving stronger results from the workshop.
The workshop is open to all, from cross-disaplinary artist, art students and established experienced professionals. 12 places.
