Theme: Bogs and the memories they hold. Multi- layered images relating to bogs and the way they have acted as memory banks, holding records of climate change, plant and animal life, human activity, bodies and artifacts committed to them down the centuries, folk traditions and personal
(see Lost in the Landscape gallery in website, www.bloftus.co.uk).
Format: Core exhibition consists of five large works on cardboard, 1 portrait format 100 x 76 cm, 4 landscape format 80 x 100 cm (two executed in gouache, three in soft pastel and charcoal), plus quantity of small works on paper, cardboard and board, in a wide range of media. Small works can be displayed in a predella type band below the large works (see Installations gallery in website, www.bloftus.co.uk) Exhibition can be extended by addition of further large works, e.g. 6 metre long diorama-type drawing in charcoal on paper, and two 2.5 metre tall drawings in
soft pastel and charcoal on paper (see Weather Stone image in World Bank gallery in website).
Space: Minimum 10 running metres wall space for core exhibition, or 20 running metres for extended exhibition. Minimum 2.5 metre
Technical specifications: Works to be exhibited unframed, fixed to wall by Velcro strip for large/heavy works and blu/white-tak for smaller works. Artist willing to repaint walls if Velcro causes any loss of paint.

Artists Fees required: In keeping with VAI policy, an artist’s fee is required
Administrative fees: £100 for installation materials, plus fuel for delivery of exhibition in artist’s own vehicle and cost of overnight accommodation if necessary(artist is based in Co Down). It is assumed venue will cover costs of printing and mailing for invitations to
any opening event.
