Beginning Friday 17 February
10.30am to 12.30pm
Life drawing is one of the fundamental elements of the visual arts in all its disciplines. To draw ourselves is to perceive our human form and understand three dimensions in two dimensions. Participants can be from any level, beginner, art student or professional practicing artist. We all learn from one another.
The programme will explore, through a series of exercises, basic proportion to a high level of personal expression. A multiplicity of processes will be employed from line and mark making through to light and tone using a variety of wet and dry materials. Various models, male and female, will be used in all kinds of poses, some over a long duration and others short.
Participants are encouraged to be open-minded and experimental and join in group discussion and critique of their work produced throughout the programme.
