SuperMassiveBlackHole is pleased to announce a new open call for work to be included in the next NEW FRONTIERS issue, due for release in 2017. While the PDF magazine has been in deep sleep, life support systems are coming back online, and it is time to see what is out there. Where is the unusual, the dangerous, the strange and the alien?
For this theme, the only requirement is your originality.
Established in 2009 by Barry W Hughes, the freely available PDF magazine has gone on to showcase the work of hundreds of young and emerging talents as well as some of contemporary photography’s pioneers and more established names such as Peter Fraser, Jeremy Millar and Asger Carlsen. Combining open submissions, commissions and selections, SuperMassiveBlackHole has served as a touchstone for practitioners, professionals, educators, students and enthusiasts alike. Each thematic issue of the magazine has been published three times per year as a 52 page document enabling it to be viewed online, downloaded or printed offline.
