VAI Lifelong Learning | Bagong Kaganapan | Demystifying ang papel ng Curator | Hulyo 13, 11am (webinar) 1-5pm (Mga klinika)
Curator Kate Strain returns to deliver a webinar and supporting clinics that takes a closer look into the role of the curator; research interests, how to connect, collaborate and programme through your work and your practice.
Kate Strain is the founding director of Kunstverein Aughrim, a curatorial production office located in County Wicklow, Ireland. From 2016–2021 she was artistic director of Grazer Kunstverein, Austria, kung saan nag-curate siya ng mga malalaking collaborative na proyekto, pana-panahong eksibisyon, pagtatanghal, produksyon at publikasyon. Sa malapit na pakikipagtulungan sa artist na si Fiona Hallinan, si Strain ay co-founder ng Kagawaran ng Ultimolohiya, a research body dedicated to the study of that which is dead or dying. Working alongside Rachael Gilbourne, Strain makes up one half of the paired curatorial practice RGKSKSRG.
The events are supported by Kildare County Council Arts Office and are free to visual artists based in the county. VAI members (€5) and the general public (€10) can also attend the webinar.
