VAI Lifelong Learning | Next Week’s Events

In next weeks Lifelong Learning offer, we learn more about the do’s and don’ts when making applications for funding, starting or restarting your career and will see work from six artists in our second Show & Tell of the year.

21 June: The Artist’s Guide to Funding & Applications – Webinar (11am) Clinics (1-5pm)

Marianne O’Kane Boal returns to deliver a session to help artists take a closer look at the essential ‘Do’s and Don’ts’ of developing artist creative proposals and funding applications. These sessions are supported by County Kerry Arts Office and are free for all visual artists based in the county (and is available at the member rate for all other VAI members).

22 June: Starting & Restarting Your Career – Webinar (11am) Clinics (1-5pm)

This webinar will address entering the art world and will also focus on those artists who may have lapsed practices and wish to re-establish themselves, their studio practice and begin producing work again. Topics included in this webinar; professional development, re-establishing a creative space/studio, creating your artist network and exploring the landscape of opportunities available to you. Catherine Hemelryk of CCA Derry-Londonderry will lead both the webinar and clinics. The events are free for all Wexford County Council area based visual artists.

23 June: Show & Tell (3-4.30pm)

On Thursday 23 June we welcome six artists who will talk us through their work and practice in our 2nd Show & Tell event of the year. We will hear and see work from Yana Koretska, Regina O’Dea, Aoife Herrity, Amna Walayat, David Fox and Tia Vellani. This event is free for VAI members.
