Volunteer Invigilators Wanted for Galway International Arts Festival
Application deadline: 30 June 2019.
Galway International Arts Festival is looking to engage 30 volunteers for an intensive invigilating experience from 11-28 July 2019.
In 2018, 23 volunteers invigilated GIAF’s main Festival Gallery, which featured the work of internationally-renowned artists David Mach, Sarah Hickson and Jennifer Cunningham. Volunteers participated in training workshops on the artwork and on visitor engagement techniques, professional development seminars and exclusive artist talks before becoming the Festival’s core invigilation team for tens of thousands of visitors over two weeks.
Volunteers will receive exclusive talks with artists and cultural professionals and professional development training, plus all the perks available to GIAF volunteers including tickets to select shows, discounts on local businesses, invitations to special Festival events and certificates co-signed by GIAF Education Partner NUI Galway.
Limited slots are available on this programme. If you are interested, email vaip@giaf.ie for more information or visit giaf.ie…/visual-arts to access the application.
Please note: Volunteers must be aged 18 or older and fully available from 11-28 July 2019.
