To celebrate National Drawing Day (18th of May), Angela Emson West will share a key technique used by many of the greatest artists to bring accuracy to their images; The Grid Method.
Students will be guided towards making the perfect copy of an image, not just from a photograph but also from life. Once the lines have been drawn, students will then focus on using watercolours to bring this picture to life.
This course is aimed at adults with knowledge wishing to learn how to use the Grid method of drawing and more about water colour paint techniques, or as a refresher course.
Angela’s supportive style and passionate philosophies will guide you through many watercolour techniques: lost and found edges, wet on wet, wet on dry, controlling the paint, washes, colour mixing on the paper and on the palette, transparent washes. Over the two days, Angela will focus on helping you to further your own natural way of working and enhance what you already know. If you are a total beginner, Angela will guide you through to a finished painting at the end of two days.
