Watercolour Portrait Workshop with Aine Divine, Castlebar, Co. Mayo

Art workshop with award winning UK based artist Aine Divine. The workshop would focus on painting big portraits in watercolour. Artist Aine Divine is much sought after tutor and is currently featured in several art magazines in the UK. There will be a different model each day so you will have the opportunity to explore a variety of faces. I will begin each day with a demonstration. I will take this opportunity to discuss ways I ease myself into the painting process. I’m a great believer in us all looking after ourselves as we go to paint being aware of our physical well-being. I will be encouraging you to remember to breathe and generally look after yourself, keeping a radar up for any tension that may arise..

About Aine Divine
She was shortlisted for the Irish National Portrait Award three years in a row and was an award winner in 1993. In 2005 she painted Mo Mowlam for BBC 1’s ‘Star Portraits’ and was delighted when she chose my portrait to keep. In 2007 I painted Olympic triple jumper, Jonathan Edwards and my commissioned portraits include footballers for the Hibernian Historical Society and winners of the British Open Golf Championship. She was a finalist in the Sky Arts portrait artist of the year award 2014, painting singer Neil Hannon in the first round, then a double portrait of Richard Dawkins.
