Description

VAI is looking to recruit in the area of Membership & Communications.

Key Responsibilities

Membership Development

  • Manage and continuously improve systems for membership renewal, retention, and recruitment
  • Oversee the membership onboarding process, ensuring a seamless and informative experience
  • Gather and analyse member feedback, working cross-functionally to enhance services
  • Develop and implement member supports, including initiatives such as discount schemes
  • Develop and execute membership growth and retention strategies
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on membership metrics, ensuring data-driven decision-making
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with colleges and educational institutions to promote membership uptake
  • Manage and curate high-quality content for the Members’ Only section of the website

Communications

  • Plan, produce, and deliver engaging twice-weekly eBulletins aligned with organisational standards
  • Collaborate across departments to develop and distribute timely member communications
  • Conceptualise and execute social media campaigns that promote the organisation and its members
  • Ensure all communications are clear, consistent, and reflective of organisational values

Person Specification

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in membership development, engagement, or a similar role
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects from concept through to completion with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with diverse groups (artists, students, institutions, networks)
  • Data-driven mindset with experience reporting on metrics and outcomes
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, database management, and MS Office

Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to work flexible hours as required
  • Availability to travel nationally as required.
