Niamh Brown | Curatorial Support for Artists
This session considers the ways in which curators work with artists, often building durational partnerships across multiple projects or bodies of work.
Niamh Brown is a curator, researcher and producer based in Limerick city. In 2012, she joined the Ormston House team and currently works there as Curator (Strategy & Development). She was Creative Producer for the 39th edition of EVA International (2019–21). In 2024, she was awarded the inaugural Backwater Artists Group Emerging Curator Award. Outside of organisations, Niamh works independently to support artists in the development and delivery of exhibitions and projects. This includes Laura Fitzgerald’s multidisciplinary project ‘Community Spirits’ in Inch, County Kerry, and Sian Costello’s solo exhibition ‘Hymn to Him’ at The Dock, County Leitrim.
