Online Workshops | Half-Day Introduction to Japanese Black Ink Painting with Karen Colbert

Description

In these live online Introductory Workshops, beginners will be introduced to the Art of Japanese Black Ink Painting and will learn about materials, basic brushstrokes and techniques used for painting grasses, flowers, trees and mountains.

Sumi-e is the Japanese word for the Art of Black Ink Painting. It is a unique art form using only black ink, handmade paper and a special brush.

Includes list of recommended basic beginner’s materials.

These Introductory Workshops are suitable for both beginners and as a review/refresher for those who have previously attended.

Workshops consist of 40-minute segments with 5-minute breaks between each segment.

Online Workshop session invitations will be emailed to participants one hour prior to the Workshop.
