This afternoon’s seminar on grant success for artists will review key information that is required when completing public grant applications for revenue funding. The course will assist clarifying key documents and templates required to successfully meet the grant conditions, and to assist spending less time on grant applications, and more time making art. This course will be split into presentation, and workshopping with participants to ensure artist-specific assistance for each participant.

Jackie Ryan
Jackie is an Art Historian and Production Accountant with almost 30 years’ experience in the cultural sector. She has a BA Art History and a post graduate H. Dip in Arts Administration at University College Dublin. Later qualifying in accountancy, first with a Diploma in Accounting and Finance with the ACCA, and later with a BSc (Hons) from Oxford Brookes University in partnership with the ACCA. Final Thesis (A Grade), was ‘The Impact of Digital Technology on the Business Objectives of the National Portrait Gallery London 2019-2020’.
Jackie has worked in management in the National Gallery of Ireland, TEAM Educational Theatre Limited , Draíocht Arts Centre, Graphic Studio Dublin, and the Dublin International Film Festival, before establishing her business consultancy Jackie Ryan Art Limited in 2015. In the past 10 years Jackie has specialised in projects in the cultural, education and housing sectors. Projects often include Co-design public consultancy stages, and data analytics in the cultural sector in Ireland. Jackie also teaches on the MA in Cultural Policy and Arts Management in University College Dublin since 2012, (Arts Finance), the MSc in Arts and Cultural Management at Burgundy School of Business in Dijon, France (Arts Budgeting), and on the PDP Courses of the European College of Business Management UK.
