Support the Future of Visual Arts in Ireland
Your gift today inspires tomorrow’s vision.
Why Give?
Have you ever felt isolated, uncertain, or disconnected — unsure where to turn for guidance, support, or a sense of belonging? If so, you’ve already touched the heart of the challenges faced by many visual artists in Ireland. And you’ve also discovered the very reasons why Visual Artists Ireland exists.
At VAI, our journey is rooted in making a real impact — not only within the visual arts community but also in the lives of individual artists who are navigating complex and often lonely professional paths.
We say it clearly in our mission:
“To create a trusted space where visual artists are valued and have access to the supports and knowledge they need to develop at every stage of their professional careers.”
What some may call social capital, we call daily life. Whether it’s connecting artists to each other, to vital resources, or to their communities, our work is grounded in real relationships, real support, and real progress.
We’re here when artists need us most —
- To break isolation
- To share knowledge
- To provide guidance and support
- To build skills and resilience
- To amplify their voices nationally and locally

One of our projects supported by Irish Life

We were delighted to welcome Declan Bolger, Chief Executive Officer of Irish Life Group and his team to the new visual artist studio space that they are providing on Marlborough Street.
We started the day with site visits by artists who responded to our call out for expressions of interest last year, and ended the day with the turning on of new lights on Talbot Street as part of the regeneration project in that area.
We want to do a really special shout out to Teresa Kelly Oroz – Irish Life Group Company Secretary & Head of Public and Policy and Audrey Keegan – Property Asset Manager at Irish Life for their remarkable support and effort in making this new project happen.
