The Regional Cultural centre is pleased to present Gvozdene Kapije / The Iron Gates, an exhibition by artist Barbara Knežević, bringing together film and sculpture to explore the histories, stories, and materiality of a region in eastern Serbia. Known as Gvozdene Kapije, this deep gorge at Đerdap on the Danube River forms the border between Serbia and Romania and is an area that has been contested, occupied and celebrated throughout ancient and recent history

Townhall Arts Centre Gallery and Cavan Arts present: ’74 Summers’
A solo exhibition by Brigid Mulligan.
Brigid Mulligan presents a new body of work that explores grief through process-based rituals. ‘74 Summers’ includes monumental artwork and experimental film with community at its core. The exhibition will include a life-sized cyanotype print installation titled ‘My Father’s Tractor’.
In creating this monumental four-sided installation, the artist considers the importance of remembering as they come to terms with loss. ‘74 Summers’, an experimental film, explores communal grieving and the ritual of fire.
