On Saturday 26 September 2026, from 2pm to 7pm, Atelierhaus Mengerzeile in Berlin opens its studios to the public. Irish artist Enda O’Donoghue, based in Berlin since 2002 and a longtime resident of the studio house, shows his work alongside the many other artists and designers based there.

This September, the IAF brings an expanded version of our exhibition, To Not Design Is To Cost The Earth, to The Building Centre, London, showcasing the ideas and work of architects working across the island of Ireland to an international audience. Through drawings, photographs and films, the exhibition champions the value of architecture, demonstrating how architects and their design thinking can offer innovative, radical and useful responses to the social, spatial and climate challenges shaping our shared future.

David Quinn will be exhibiting new work with Huxley-Parlour at The Armoury Show this year.

This September, the IAF brings an expanded version of our exhibition, To Not Design Is To Cost The Earth, to The Building Centre, London, showcasing the ideas and work of architects working across the island of Ireland to an international audience. Through drawings, photographs and films, the exhibition champions the value of architecture, demonstrating how architects and their design thinking can offer innovative, radical and useful responses to the social, spatial and climate challenges shaping our shared future.

Central to A Place to Disappear are formative encounters with Paris, a city that has repeatedly marked turning points in Damien Flood’s practice. In Flood’s first solo show in Paris, he will present a number of new paintings and ceramics that draw inspiration directly from and reflect on the influence Paris has had on his development as an artist.

This exhibition will be accompanied by an A5 screen-printed publication titled ‘A Painter and Paris’. It has been printed by Small Night Zine and is limited to 40 copies and will be available at the gallery for the duration of the show.

“This is a Show about Grief” explores, through various mediums, the experience and processing of grief. Two of my short films will feature in an intimate, immersive setting, where the viewer will have time to connect with the emotions being expressed in the work. The award winning, MA, which deals with the loss of a Mother who’s son betrays his upbringing by his violence, and the autobiographical NOT, which explores the experience of being the other child in a family where a child with special needs is born. These losses and grief live outside the experiences with which we are more familiar, and as such are lonelier, quieter, hidden.

FUNDAMENTAL 2
Under the title ‘The existence that concerns us’ George Meertens brings together a careful selection of international artists, including Irish artist David Quinn.

This exhibition is a follow-up to FUNDAMENTAL (2022), which was co-curated by George Meertens at de Halle. In 2026, he returns as curator with FUNDAMENTAL 2. In this new edition, Meertens builds on his previous research and demonstrates how material, form, and action converge to reveal the image in its most essential meaning.

Irish painter Paul McCloskey selected for the ‘Geumgang Nature Art Biennale exhibition in Gongju, South Korea, 2026’.
Selected from 50 countries, his work will become part of the Geumgang Nature Art Biennale, art collection and will be included in further permanent or traveling exhibitions.
His work ‘Natures Odyssey’ continues on the theme of landscape, imagination, memory, people, and emotions.
The Nature Art Cube Exhibition is an Art project in which artists express their reflections on nature and diverse artistic approaches.

Throughout the museum’s historic house, ‘The as-yet unseen’ presents site-responsive installations by Grace Weir, curated by Bridget de León. Created in response to the Herschel family’s home, the exhibition considers observation as a form of continuous and highly attuned looking, grounded in the rhythms of domestic life. Taking its title from William Herschel’s phrase for the as-yet-undiscovered planet Neptune, the project brings together new works that share a commitment to patient, repeated attention to what can be seen, what remains just beyond view, and what may only become visible through sustained, collective looking.
