Join us for the opening of Kathryn Ashill’s solo exhibition ‘Burning Down the House, My House’ as part of the Kilkenny Arts Festival. An exhibition that explores Welsh artist Kathryn Ashill’s recent experiences of having a serious house fire. Ashill undertook a residency at the Tea Houses to research local histories of fire in the medieval city. To open the exhibition there will be a live performance that will take place outside of the Tea Houses and on the banks of the River Nore.
Curated by Rachel Botha. Supported by Arts Council of Wales, Wales Arts International, Kilkenny Arts Office, Kilkenny County Council, Arts Council, Ireland.
