Cuts & Sounds — Moving Collage in Music Videos, curated by Silvio Severino for Gearr Cork Short Film Festival, explores the intersection of music, filmmaking and collage. Featuring music videos, visualisers and lyric videos by The Cure, Oasis, Sleaford Mods, Queens of the Stone Age, The Rolling Stones, Dragonflies and many more, the programme brings together stop-motion, animation, paper cut-outs, digital collage, found imagery and experimental editing. A celebration of the music video as a space for visual experimentation, creative freedom and unexpected image-making.
