Event Details

Craft NI is delighted to welcome Cara Murphy, silversmith and Chair of Contemporary British Silversmiths (CBS), for a special artist’s talk accompanying A Thirst for Silver, a CBS exhibition showcasing the work of over 50 leading contemporary silversmiths from across the UK.

A Thirst for Silver explores the enduring relationship between silver, ceremony and ritual through the traditional form of the beaker. From shared toasts and moments of celebration to significant occasions and traditions, these vessels reflect the connection between object, maker and user — transforming a precious material into something rich with meaning.
