Mysterious Ways | Orla Barry at Bridge Street Studios

Event Details

Exhibition runs 6/11/26-15/11/26.

Orla Barry’s solo exhibition ‘Mysterious Way’s opens Thursday November 5th at 7pm.

Open daily 10am -5pm.

Her paintings explore our interconnectedness with the natural world and are influenced by the highly decorative style and hinged door structure of Iconography and Sacred Art. The starting point for this exhibition was receiving the Arts Council Agility Award in 2024. It enabled Orla to learn how to laser cut her own shapes to paint. All pieces either have doors or mirrors inviting viewers to engage. Imagery in the paintings comes from her photos of local scenery, trips around Ireland and artist residencies.
