Event | Create Your Own ‘Pâte de Verre’ Glass Bowl from August Craft Month

Event Details

As part of August Craft Month I am running an introduction to Pâte de Verre, French meaning paste of glass. A technique that came to a fame in the art deco period and used by the renown Lalique. This is a great first taste of this fascinating process of working with glass powders to create a small but beautiful bowl.

We will cover the basics of mould making, preparing the glass, packing the moulds and firing your work. A great overview of the process condensed into a one day.

The workshop will run from 9:30am to 5pm. Lunch and all materials are included.
Complete beginners welcome!
