Event Details

For four days in early November, Ireland’s Contemporary Art Gallery Association (CAGA) will bring the country’s most exciting artists, galleries, cultural institutions and creative spaces together to stage a city takeover for Dublin Gallery Weekend.

A citywide showcase of Ireland’s bold, experimental and unapologetic contemporary art energy, Dublin Gallery Weekend will light up the capital, morning to late night, with new exhibitions, behind the scenes studio tours, meet the artists, industry talks, a DGW+ fringe programme and hands-on workshops.

Explore a weekend packed with neighbourhood art trails and gallery pop-ups, daytime openings, nighttime socials, and beyond. With more than 60 free events to take in, Dublin Gallery Weekend will be a city-wide canvas of art, connection and discovery.

Expect provocative shows from rising stars; stellar new work from established icons; favourite old masters and legendary mavericks. Elegant openings meet galleries after dark, creative crawls and art world debate. All set to the backdrop of Ireland’s capital city, its thriving cultural and creative life, a phenomenal local dining scene and gorgeous places to stay and play.

Elegant, energetic, and eclectic, Dublin Gallery Weekend will be totally accessible, free and welcoming of all, from the serious buyer to the first steps collector, the aficionado, the weekend browser, and those who want to explore the city through the artist’s eye.

Artists, exhibitions and events will be announced at the end of September. Featured galleries include Claremorris Gallery, Green on Red, Hillsboro Fine Art, IMMA, Kerlin Gallery, Kevin Kavanagh, Molesworth Gallery, National Gallery of Ireland, Oliver Sears Gallery, Olivier Cornet Gallery, Project Arts Centre, Solomon Fine Art, SO Fine Art Editions, Taylor Galleries, Temple Bar Gallery + Studios, The Douglas Hyde Gallery of Contemporary Art, The LAB Dublin City Council Arts Office, Guinness Storehouse and many more to be announced.
