Inga Ryan works in series. In Deep depicts human figures under water. Throughout the works there is an element of ambiguity, raising the question of whether the immersed figure is playing, floating freely, or caught in something more unsettling. Ryan’s use of semi-abstraction reinforces this uncertainty, allowing the viewer to decide the narrative.
