MOTH | Group Exhibition at Backwater Artists Studio

Event Details

MOTH is a group exhibition curated by Emma Quin, recipient of the Backwater Artists Emerging Curator Award 2026, featuring artists Lynn-Marie Dennehy, Andrea Newman and Pádraig Spillane. Inspired by research into the adaptive evolution of moths during the Industrial Revolution, the exhibition explores how individuals are shaped by their environments and the social structures that surround them. Through installation, photography, collage and object-based work, the artists examine themes of social conditioning, surveillance and identity in contemporary society.
