Setting | Mary O’Malley at Artlink Fort Dunree

Event Details

Mary O’Malley is an Irish-American artist raised outside New York City.
Setting is an exhibition of new work that brings together ceramic sculpture, gold, flora, and pollinators to explore relationships between place, material, and time.

Made from Lizella clay native to Middle Georgia, the work creates a dialogue between landscapes shaped by empire, extraction, and division. Traces of gold evoke both the sacred and the extractive, linking divinity, wealth, colonial histories, and ecological renewal. Set against geological and celestial time, Setting reflects on the fragility of human systems and the impermanence of borders and identities.
