Róisín | Elinor O’Donovan at The Lord Mayor’s Pavilion

Event Details

Róisín is a new exhibition by Elinor O’Donovan exploring the life of her ancestor Charlotte Grace O’Brien (1845–1909), a writer and campaigner who advocated for Irish women emigrating to America. Through film, archival material and installation, O’Donovan traces O’Brien’s journeys between Ireland and New York and explores connections between migration, women, ecology and Irish national identity. The exhibition culminates O’Donovan’s Sample-Studios Spike Island Summer Residency, delivered with Spike Island and Sirius Arts Centre.
