A talk by Dr Michael Waldron – Curator of Collections & Special Projects at Crawford Art Gallery, Cork
Thurs 13th November / €10 – tickets at the door or website www.stcanicescathedral.ie/events

St. Canice’s Cathedral is home to stained-glass windows by both Alfred E. Child and Harry Clarke Studios. Between these makers, however, looms the ghostly figure of Harry Clarke (1889 – 1931) himself, who had been taught by Child and whose stained-glass business operated long after his early death. In this talk, Dr Waldron explores the creative force of Clarke’s often dark and daring imagination in his pursuit of a new ethereal and carnal language.
