Artist-in-Residence for New Creative Spark/Create Louth Residency Programme

Artist Barry Finnegan is first artist-in-residence for the new Creative Spark/Create Louth Residency Programme. This residency programme is supported by Louth County Council as a means of supporting the development of visual artists in the region. Barry has been developing vibrant murals around Dundalk in recent years and will develop a new body of work at Creative Spark to showcase at future exhibitions. He has been developing new screen-printed artwork in the Creative Spark Print Studio and also plans to run a workshop in the community in 2015. There are five artist residencies planned over the course of the next year with plans towards having both Irish and international artists based in Creative Spark.

Images of Barry’s artwork are available on www.facebook.com/ThinkingCapDesign , his new page for murals, illustration and graphic design.
