VAI Lifelong Learning | Socially Engaged Practice with Áine Phillips (5 July)
This session explores the terminology and practice of socially engaged art and would suit those who are interested in delivering local and community led work for and with a range of communities. Áine Phillips will lead the webinar and take the afternoon clinics sessions.
Áine Phillips is a performance artist based in Galway, exhibiting and performing in Ireland and internationally since the late 80’s. She creates work for multiple contexts and this work is powered by feminist philosophy, ethics and politics: using art to comment and make propositions on subjectivity, gender and social change. She is also a writer and teacher, promoting and advocating for performance and live art as a creative force for cultural and personal transformation.
Book here for the webinar (and here for the free 1-2-1 clinics for County Kildare based visual artists). We operate a waiting list should any of the clinic sessions become fully booked. If there be any cancellations, we contact you to see if you can take the vacated slot.
We do hope you can join us.
Kind Regards,
VAI Team
