An Artist’s Guide to Tax | June 15,  2pm (Webinar) 3-5.20pm (Clinics)

Join Gaby Smyth for an introductory session on tax and finance for visual artists.

This session aims to support artists who are new to self-employment or who are considering registering as self-employed with Revenue.  This session will look at: the benefits of being registered as self-employed; how to register as a self-employed tax payer; how different income is treated in your tax return; how to record income and expenditure; what are allowable expenses; the Artists Tax Exemption; Income Tax; USC; PRSI and other issues in response to participant questions.

Subsequent to this webinar a supplementary set of eight 1-on-1 clinic sessions will then begin for up to 8 Galway based Artists (3pm – 5.20pm) on the day. In order to avail of a clinic, you must have attended the earlier webinar.

The webinar open to all VAI members at a discounted rate and for general admission.
