Launch: IN CONTEXT 4 – IN OUR TIME

‘IN CONTEXT 4 – IN OUR TIME’ is South Dublin County Council’s Public Art Programme 2016-2019 under the Per Cent for Art Scheme. At its launch event in County Library, Tallaght a new programme of commissioning opportunities will be unveiled to artists and arts practitioners. Over the next three years, ‘IN CONTEXT 4’ will see €200,000 allocated to new artistic projects across South Dublin County.

The launch event will feature a new live dance performance, ‘TRANS-BORDER’, directed by dance artist Cathy Coughlan, HAVOC Dance Company, in collaboration with the ‘Doors to Elsewhere’ group; new writing about In Context 4 by guest speaker, author Selina Guinness; and visual artist Dragana Jurisic’s photographic portrait of the County, entitled ‘SUBTOPIAN BALLAD’.

‘IN CONTEXT 4 – IN OUR TIME’ is commissioned by South Dublin County Council and curated by Aoife Tunney and Claire Power.
